Duo Flute-Accordion:
Alessandra Rombolá- Esteban Algora
After collaborating in many different projects involving both contemporary music and improvisation, Esteban Algora and Alessandra Rombolá decide to begin a steady duo based in Madrid, Spain. Both members have a long experience in the field of contemporary music and have dedicated their work to investigate all the possibilities of their own instrument, acquiring a deep knowledge of the so called extended techniques
Their goal as a duo is to promote the repertoire for this combination, inviting composers of any nationality to write for them. The duo has already performed a challenging repertoire which includes the composition “Birds Fragments III” of the Japanese composer Toshio Hosokawa. They have recently premiered the piece “Voci (in una missiva)”, by the Italian composer Bruno Dozza and dedicated to the duo, premiered at the festival “X Jornadas de Música Contemporánea” in Córdoba.
