Solo improvised music:
Alessandra plays flute, piccolo, alto and bass flutes.
Since 1999 she is investigating the music making through improvisation, collaborating with some of the most renowned artist on the scene.

Being classically trained, her playing has been influenced by composers such as Cage or Sciarrino and  the music of Michel Doneda, Rhodry Davies, Ingar Zach amongst others.

In the last two years, she has been investigating the combination of the flute sound with more “noisy” sounds, coming mainly from the use of rings  on ceramic objects.
She works with both flutes and a sort of “tiles installation” which serves as a base for her manipulation with rings and objects made of different materials.

Much of her ideas on the use of rings has been developed thanks to the invaluable help of a Greek musician, performer, and ceramist: Natasha Chrysanthakopoulou. She has  been able to take simple ideas further,  inventing new ways of making this “technique” more efficient.
